Regarding the language proficiency of the foreign students applying to Macerata Fine Arts Academy and in order to foster their participation in the various paths of study, an Italian B1/B2 proficiency certification is requested. This is to facilitate such students in attending classes and in participating at the academic daily life. A further assessment will therefore take place in the same period as the other admission tests. It will be a specific qualification test (2 ECTS as a curricular activity), to which foreign students shall participate according to the procedures and costs indicated in the forms available at the front office and in the specific section of the institutional website.
The Italian language qualification test takes place (exact date to be agreed year by year and published in the deadlines documents) within the first week of September; shouldn't they pass the exam, foreign students are requested to attend an intensive remedial course (80 hours) held at Macerata Academy by a Italian language specialist. Such intensive course takes place in the weeks prior the official start of the institutional didactics; it ends with a final exam 10 days before the official enrolment deadline.
